“I’ve always been told that I don’t look like a graffiti artist. What are they supposed to look like? Should I be wearing baggier pants?” —AMP
My name is Aaron (AMP) Pearcy.. I was born in Merced, California, into a military family. So with that came a lot of traveling, which is what ignited my love for traveling. At the age of 7 I was drawing at church, portraits of some of the church members, pictures of the pastor preaching, and whatever else that I could set my eyes on at the time. At the age of 16 I started painting in Art Alley. I was taught how to airbrush about 8 months prior to starting my streeet art career. I left for college in Florida in 2011. I moved back in 2012 and continued to paint in Art Alley once again. The more I painted there the more I grew as both an artist and a person.
I've been honored to paint a memorial for soldier's who lost their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom, a piece in Boston after the Boston Marathon tragedy, murals on Pine Ridge Reservation and iconic pieces in downtown Rapid City. I've painted in several countries and have now made my home in Rapid City, tattooing and painting. I'm available for commissions of all types, commercial projects, and more.
